In December 2025, Dr. Michael Megaly, MD, MS, FACC, FSCAI, joined Integris Health Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, bringing specialized expertise in complex percutaneous coronary intervention, chronic total occlusion PCI, surgical turn-down cases, complex peripheral artery disease, and limb salvage to the region.

Interventional cardiology in Oklahoma City entered a new chapter in December 2025 with the arrival of Dr. Michael Megaly at Integris Health Heart Hospital. Dr. Megaly brings a focused and nationally recognized practice dedicated to the most technically demanding coronary and peripheral vascular procedures, cases that are often declined elsewhere or referred out of state.

Dr. Megaly's clinical expertise centers on complex, high-risk coronary interventions, including chronic total occlusion PCI using the hybrid algorithm, mechanical circulatory support-assisted procedures in patients with severely reduced ejection fraction, and percutaneous coronary intervention in patients who have been declined for surgical revascularization. =His peripheral vascular work encompasses complex PAD and critical limb ischemia, with a priority on limb salvage in patients facing amputation.

Prior to joining Integris Health, Dr. Megaly served as an interventional cardiologist at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa and, before that, at Willis-Knighton Heart Institute in Shreveport-Bossier City, Louisiana. He completed his advanced fellowship in Complex High-Risk Coronary Interventions and Hemodynamic Support at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit under the Henry Fellowship, and his interventional cardiology fellowship at Banner University Medical Center — University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix.

Dr. Megaly holds board certifications in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Internal Medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI) and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), and was named to SCAI's 30 Under 30 in 2024.

His research spans more than 200 peer-reviewed publications in journals including JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions, European Heart Journal, Circulation, and the American Journal of Cardiology, with a focus on CTO PCI outcomes, cardiogenic shock management, mechanical circulatory support, and complex PAD. He serves as invited faculty at major national and international conferences, including Cardiovascular Research Technologies (CRT), CTO Plus, and the EuroCTO International Conference, and holds a Clinical Assistant Professor appointment in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Oklahoma.

At Integris Health Heart Hospital, Dr. Megaly's presence establishes a dedicated resource for patients and referring physicians across Oklahoma and surrounding states who require advanced interventional expertise for the highest-complexity cases.
